Oxygen is the Key: The larger leaves in loose green tea have
a minimal reaction with oxygen so they keep their freshness and flavour.
For most green tea lovers, the noticeable difference in flavour is the
main reason for drinking loose leaf tea.
In contrast, the tea in tea bags looses it’s freshness very quickly because these small particles (0.2 to 1.5 millimeters) have a high surface to volume ratio and interact more with moisture and oxygen. This has a big impact on the flavour of the tea.
Green tea in tea bags will loose it’s flavour very quickly, unlike loose green tea which when properly stored can keeps it’s flavour for years. Chadao tea will last for up to 18 months from date of purchase
Higher Quality Green Tea
There are many other factors that affect the quality of loose green
teas. One of the most important is the age of the leaf.
The highest grade of leaf comes from the young leaves at the top of the tea bushes. Ideally these are harvested early in the season. Spring grows the best loose green tea. Summer is when the lowest quality tea is picked.
China Jasmine Pheonix Pearls - White Loose Leaf Tea
No tea shelf can be complete without these wonderful tiny tea "pearls". Jasmine tea is actually infused with the intoxicating scent of Jasmine flowers. Several leaves are rolled together to create a pearl. When brewing, the pearls unroll from their tight spheres into full leafs which release the scent of the tea. No Teapot or infuser necessary, just watch them at the bottom of your glass!

Pu Erh Tea
Something you may not have heard about. You can get Chadao Pu erh in three different forms:
- Pu Erh Mini Toucha
- Pu Erh Emperors Tea
- Pu Erh Godess of Mercy
What is Pu erh (Pu er or Pu-Erh) Tea?
Pu-erh tea plants are called Camellia Sinensis Assamica. The Pu'er tea is harvested and dried in the sun.
The tea originated in the Yunnan Province, China a few thousand years ago. After all these centuries, there is still nothing quite like Pu'er Tea from the Yunnan.
It can be difficult to find a Pu'er tea which has been aged slowly in dry conditions. Some Pu'er's can be overpowering because they have been aged in Guangdong, Hong Kong where the humidity speeds up the ageing process, sometimes resulting in mouldy tea.
Chadao source only the best Pu erh from established tea estates in Yunnan.
Pu erh tea does contain some natural caffeine but only a quarter of the amount compared to coffee. Moderate caffeine taken daily is harmless.
According to historical records from the famous Chinese medicine book Ben Cao Gang Mu written over 1,700 years ago Pu'er tea can:
* Aid digestion and fat metabolism by cutting grease and fat in food.
* It may raise the metabolic rate by 17% without increasing the heart
rate.
Pu erhtea is a great non-alcoholic digestif - sometimes with all that gourmet excess, a really exceptional cup of tea hits the mark.
